In Mijas Pueblo there are craft and jewellery shop windows with pieces that never repeat: a ring of your own design, a silver necklace with a particular stone, the brooch a tourist takes home as a keepsake. But when it comes to uploading them to the website or Instagram, the photo was taken with a phone at the end of the day, with evening light coming in sideways and the counter full of boxes in the background. The piece is unique; the image is not up to it. An AI product photo starts from that real photo you already have and turns it into a clean image with catalogue background and lighting, without moving a single gram of metal.
What an AI product photo is and what it is not
It is a service that takes a real photograph of your jewel and re-dresses it: it changes the background, tidies the light and presents it like a catalogue piece. You can see it in detail on our professional images with AI page.
- It is a transformation, not an invention. We make the photo from a real image of your piece: the necklace or ring shown is yours, the one you have in the workshop.
- We change the setting, not the jewel. The counter background is replaced by a clean one and the evening light by studio lighting. The piece stays the same.
- It is not absolute fidelity. Because we work from the photo, fine details such as the setting, the exact number of stones, the shade of a colour or an engraving can vary slightly. That is why the image works for catalogue and web, not as a valuation spec sheet.
- We do not recreate the jewel from a description. You do not write "a gold ring with a sapphire" and get an invented one back. We need the real photo of your piece to start.
Why the photo decides the sale in a jewellery shop
A jewel is a small, shiny, expensive object: the customer cannot touch the screen, so they go by what they see. Between two similar necklaces, they take the best-photographed one.
- The tourist buys with their eyes. Someone strolling through Mijas Pueblo sees your window and later looks for your piece online; if the website photo is dark with a box-strewn background, they do not recognise what they saw.
- The resident compares before coming in. The customer in La Cala de Mijas browses your catalogue from the sofa and decides whether a trip to the workshop is worth it.
- Shine needs light. Silver and gold go dull under poor phone light; well-placed lighting makes the stone and the polish readable.
- A clean background adds value. A neutral background or a careful scene signals that the piece is quality, not market-stall.
- Your window is also digital. The website and social media are the counter that never closes; if the photo does not sell, the piece does not sell.
How it works in practice
You send the real photo of the piece, taken however you can, and we return the catalogue version. The process is simple and you need neither a studio nor a photographer.
- You send us the original photo. The one you already have: the ring on the counter, the bracelet on the wrist, the necklace on the display stand. The sharper it is, the better the result.
- We apply AI to that image. The background is replaced and the light is rebuilt, keeping the piece at the centre of the scene.
- We check and deliver. We send you the images ready for web, catalogue or social media in 2-4 working days.
An example of how it works, not a real case: suppose you photograph a silver ring with a turquoise on the counter of your Mijas Pueblo shop, with the shutter down and a yellowish light. You send it to us and get the same ring back on a pale marble background with lighting that makes the metal and the stone shine, ready for the catalogue and Instagram. The piece is yours; what changed was the setting.
What styles there are and what each is for
We work with two finishes. It is not a whim: each one solves a different part of your sale.
- Studio: €3 + VAT per photo. A neutral or clean-surface background, controlled light and the jewel as the sole protagonist. It is the ideal format for the website catalogue and for a product listing in an online shop.
- Lifestyle: €4.50 + VAT per photo. The piece is placed in a scene with atmosphere (a wooden table, a linen cloth, a textured surface) to give context and desire. It works very well on social media and on the cover.
- The two combine. Many jewellery shops use studio for the product listing and lifestyle for their posts, so the same piece is told in two ways.
What you need to get started
Less than you think: there is no gear to buy and no set to build. The starting point is what you already have in the shop.
- A real photo of each piece. It is the essential requirement: without an original photo there is no transformation. A phone shot is fine if it is reasonably in focus.
- Your pieces organised. Grouping the jewels by category or collection helps keep a common approach to backgrounds.
- Knowing where the photos go. Is it for the website catalogue, an online shop or your social media? With that we choose studio or lifestyle.
- Your full catalogue, if you have one. When there are many pieces we work in batches, and then the delivery time becomes 1-2 weeks.
How much it costs and how long it takes
Fixed prices per photo, no surprises:
- Studio: €3 + VAT per photo. The cheapest option, designed for catalogue and product listing.
- Lifestyle: €4.50 + VAT per photo. With scene and atmosphere, for social media and covers.
- Delivery: 2-4 working days. For individual orders or one-off pieces.
- Full catalogue: 1-2 weeks. When the volume is larger, we work in batches with that timescale.
Do the maths: one jewel you sell thanks to a decent photo already pays for several studio images. And refreshing the catalogue each season stops being a budget problem.
Why Solaris
We work with local businesses on the Costa del Sol and we know the terrain:
- We know Mijas jewellery. One-off pieces, sales to tourists and residents and catalogues left un-updated: we know which photo each case needs.
- Published, clear prices. €3 and €4.50 + VAT per photo, with no opaque packages or extras at the end.
- Honest about limits. We tell you we start from your real photo and that fine details such as the setting can vary; we do not promise miracles.
- Everything under one roof. Besides the photos, we cover your AI solutions, the website and local SEO, with no several suppliers.
The return logic is simple: a clean image sells better than a phone photo with a counter in the background. If a single extra piece a month is closed by a catalogue photo that inspires confidence, it already covers the cost of the whole order.
