Landing page or full website: which one fits what you sell

October 21, 2026 7-minute read

Someone has asked you for «a page for the campaign» and you have spent three days on a question nobody clears up: a landing page, a five-page site, or both? The answer does not depend on budget, it depends on what you want the visitor to do when they arrive. Confusing the two formats is one of the most expensive mistakes on the Costa del Sol: a landing with no site behind it retains nothing, and a site with no landing converts no campaigns.

The real difference, in one sentence

A landing page has one goal: get the person to do one specific thing (call, book, request a quote). A full website has several: explain who you are, show services, answer questions and build trust. The first is measured by conversion; the second by how it accompanies someone who does not know you yet.

It is not a question of size. A single-page landing can be longer than the home page of a five-page site. The difference is intent: one action versus a journey.

When a landing page is enough

You sell one service

Example: a bathroom renovation campaign in Estepona priced per project. Anything that is not requesting a quote is noise.

You are going to pay for ads

The ad promises something specific; the page must deliver that promise and nothing else. Every extra link is a leak.

You already have a site and want to test

A separate landing lets you measure a new service without touching the site that already works.

Your customer decides fast

Last-minute bookings, emergencies or seasonal services: little deliberation, lots of action.

When you need the full website

  • People search for several services. Someone looking for «sports physio» and someone looking for a «deep tissue massage» do not need the same page.
  • People search by area. On the Costa del Sol, one page per town or neighbourhood lets you compete for local searches that a single home page cannot cover.
  • Customers compare before calling. Clinics, accountants or renovations: people want to see who you are, examples and how you work before writing.
  • You want to show up on Google over time. That work is done with pages, not with one.

If yours is the second case, start with a site of up to five pages and add a landing for each campaign. That is what the Professional plan at €350 + VAT covers.

The classic mistake: a landing with no site

Example of how it works: an aesthetic centre launches a landing for a summer promotion. It works for three weeks, and when the campaign ends the page has no traffic and no point. Someone searches the centre by name and lands on an expired promo page with no opening hours or address. The problem was not the landing: it was not having a site to send people to.

The rule is simple: the landing captures, the site sustains. If you do not have a site yet, do not start with the landing.

What the prices are and what they include

Basic

€180 + VAT

  • 1 page
  • Basic SEO
  • Designed as a landing or calling card

Professional

€350 + VAT

  • Up to 5 pages
  • No online store
  • The base for a full website

If you need to sell with a cart and payment gateway, the plan is the online store at €450 + VAT. All three are one-off payments, and a simple site is ready in 5-7 working days if you give us the copy and images.

Honest ROI line: a Professional site at €350 + VAT pays for itself with one or two new sales; after that, it is all margin. Compare that with the cost of a campaign landing on a page with no site behind it.

How to decide in twenty minutes

If you are still unsure, these four questions settle almost every case:

  1. Where will the traffic come from? If you are paying for it (ads, email, a specific campaign), landing. If it will come from Google searches over time, a website.
  2. How many different actions do you want? One, landing. Several (call, browse services, visit the shop), website.
  3. Does the customer know you? If they come from an ad they already trust, a landing can close the sale. If it is the first visit, they need more context.
  4. What will you measure in three months? Cost per enquiry or which searches bring people in. The answer tells you what to build.

And a warning about copying other people's landings: what works in another sector's campaign may not work in yours, because the audience, the offer and the price change. It is worth testing two versions of your own before copying a competitor's.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, and that is the usual setup. The landing lives on its own path, with its own design and its own call to action, and people can go back to the main site from it.
It can show up in searches, but it is built for campaign traffic. To compete for service or area searches you want a site with its own pages.
It depends on the services and areas you want to compete for. The Professional plan goes up to five pages, which usually covers a service site: home, services, about, contact and one page per main service.
Yes, if the landing is built to be integrated later. What is not advisable is running a campaign to a landing and leaving the visitor with no site to go back to.
Yes to meet the 5-7 working day timeline. We can help you organise them and decide which photos are needed, but the business content comes from you.
